What Is Lou Tag?

Lou Tag is the Little Worker app for Discord, so your team can give a worker to-dos from one channel in your own server and get the answers back there.

What it does

Lou Tag puts Little Worker in your Discord server. You pick one channel for work. When someone who linked their Discord account writes a message there, the message becomes a to-do for the worker you chose, such as your Main Worker.

The worker does the to-do the same way it does one you give in the app. The answer comes back to Discord, in a thread on the message.

How a to-do goes

  1. Someone who linked their Discord account writes in the work channel.
  2. Little Worker starts a thread on that message and says who has it, such as "Lou has this. The answer comes here." The thread has an Open in Little Worker button that opens the chat.
  3. The message lands in the worker's chat in your workspace, as that person's message.
  4. When the worker is done, the answer is posted in the thread. A long answer comes in more than one message. If the worker has nothing to say, the thread says "Done. See the chat for details."
  5. If the worker needs a yes before a step, it asks in the thread. See Who Can Give Work and Allow Steps.

New messages are picked up about once a minute, so a short wait before the thread starts is normal.

What it costs

Lou Tag costs nothing extra. It comes with your plan, and a to-do given in Discord counts the same as one given in the app.

What you need

  • A Little Worker workspace. An owner or an admin of the workspace adds Lou Tag to the server.
  • A Discord server where that person may add apps.
  • Each person who gives work links their own Discord account once.

Start with Add Lou Tag to Your Server.
