Add Lou Tag to Your Server
An owner or an admin adds Lou Tag to a Discord server from Apps, then picks the one channel where people give work and the worker who takes it.
Updated
Before you start
- You need to be an owner or an admin of your Little Worker workspace. Other members see the setup but cannot change it.
- You need to be allowed to add apps to the Discord server.
Add it to your server
- In Little Worker on the web, open Apps, then Discord.
- Click Add to Server. Discord opens and asks which server to add Little Worker to.
- Pick the server and approve what Discord asks for.
- Back in Little Worker, the page says "Little Worker is in your server. Pick a channel to finish."
Adding the server also links your own Discord account, so you can give work right away.
Discord asks to let Little Worker see channels, send messages, read message history, start public threads and send messages in threads. It needs these to read the work channel and answer in a thread.
Pick the channel and the worker
- Under Channel, choose the channel where people give work.
- Under Worker, choose who takes the work. It starts on Main Worker.
- Click Save. The page says "Saved. Messages in that channel now go to your worker."
Only messages written after you save are read. Older messages in the channel are left alone.
To change the channel or the worker later, pick again and click Save.
One server and one channel
A workspace has one Discord server and one work channel. Lou Tag does not read any other channel.
To move to another server, click Change Server and add Little Worker to the new one. Little Worker leaves the old server.
A server can belong to only one workspace. If someone already uses it with theirs, the page says "That server is already used by another workspace."
Remove it
Click Remove from Server. Little Worker leaves your Discord server and stops reading the channel. The to-dos it already took stay in their chats.
If the page says Discord is not available yet
Lou Tag is not open for your workspace yet. Write to support@thelittleworker.com to ask when it will be.
