Keep the apps up to date
How the Mac app updates itself, and what to do when an app asks you to update.
Updated
The Mac app
The Mac app finds each new version by itself and installs it, so you download it only once.
- Open Settings, then Software Update. It shows your version.
- Leave Keep Little Worker up to date on. The app then checks for new versions and downloads them by itself.
- When a new version is ready, click Restart to Update. If you don't, it installs the next time you quit.
To check now, choose Little Worker > Check for Updates… in the menu bar, or click Check for Updates on the Software Update page.
When a version is ready, a Restart to Update button also shows in the window's toolbar. It opens the version, its date and What's New. Later hides it until the next time you open the app.
With Keep Little Worker up to date off, the app checks only when you ask.
When an app says to update
When a version is too old to work, the app shows only Update Little Worker.
- On the Mac, the new version downloads, then click Restart to Update. If this copy cannot update itself, Download Update opens the Download page.
- On iPhone, Update opens the app's page in the App Store.
The web app
The web app is always the newest version. Reload the page to get it.
