The Mac app won't open or update

What to try when Little Worker for Mac does not open, sign in, or update.

Updated

It does not open

  1. Check that your Mac has the version of macOS the Download page names under Download for Mac.
  2. Check that you downloaded the right one for your Mac: Apple silicon, or Intel when the page offers it.
  3. Download the app again, drag it into your Applications folder, and open it from there.

It opens, but your workspace does not

The sign-in screen says what went wrong, with Try Again:

  • "Little Worker could not open your workspace. Check your internet connection, then try again."
  • "Your workspace is starting. Try again in a moment."

If the app says Cannot reach the service on your Mac, click Try Again. If Settings > Your Mac shows a problem with Try Again, click it there too.

It says Update Little Worker

Your version is too old to work. Wait while it says Downloading Update…, then click Restart to Update. If it offers Download Update instead, the Download page opens. Download the new version and replace the app in Applications.

It does not update

  1. Open Settings, then Software Update, and click Check for Updates.
  2. If it says "Little Worker could not check for updates.", check your internet connection, then try again.
  3. If it says "This copy of Little Worker does not update itself.", download the newest version from the Download page and replace the app in Applications.

Send a crash report

Crash reports help find the problem. They leave out the text you write. To check they are on, open Settings, then General, and look at Send crash reports.

Still stuck

Email support@thelittleworker.com with your macOS version, the app version from Settings > Software Update, what you did, and a screenshot if you can.
